Storm

Storm intro

In the game Storm, the player controls: rain, wind, snow, lightning, tornadoes, ice and bubbles.

Who really controls these according to the Bible?:

Rain:

Is it not wheat harvest to day? I will call unto the Lord, and he shall send thunder and rain; that ye may perceive and see that your wickedness is great, which ye have done in the sight of the Lord, in asking you a king.

So Samuel called unto the Lord; and the Lord sent thunder and rain that day: and all the people greatly feared the Lord and Samuel.” (1 Samuel 12:17-18)

The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.” (Deuteronomy 28:12)

Ask ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain; so the Lord shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.” (Zechariah 10:1)

Wind:

But the LORD sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.” (Jonah 1:4)

And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged;” (Genesis 8:1)

Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will raise up against Babylon, and against them that dwell in the midst of them that rise up against me, a destroying wind;” (Jeremiah 51:1)

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it.” (Ezekiel 13:13)

For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, is his name.” (Amos 4:13)

Snow:

He [God] giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.” (Psalm 147:16)

Lightning:

He [God] causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.” (Psalm 135:7)

[Talking to God]”Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them.” (Psalm 144:6)

The Lord thundered from heaven, and the most High uttered his voice. And he sent out arrows, and scattered them; lightning, and discomfited them.” (2 Samuel 22:14-15)

When he [God] uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.” (Jeremiah 10:13)

The Lord also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire.Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.” (Psalm 18:13-14)

Tornadoes (known in the Bible as a whirlwind):

Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.” (Jeremiah 23:19)

Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.” (Jeremiah 30:23)

The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.” (Nahum 1:3)

Ice:

He [God] casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?” (Psalm 147:17)

He [God] destroyed their vines with hail, and their sycomore trees with frost.” (Psalm 78:47)

And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.” (Exodus 9:23)

I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labours of your hands; yet ye turned not to me, saith the LORD.” (Haggai 2:17)

He [God] gave them [Egypt] hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.” (Psalm 105:32)

Finally, God controls everything (even bubbles):

I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the Lord, and there is none else. I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.” (Isaiah 45:5-8)

Then Job answered the Lord, and said, I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.” (Job 42:1-2)

Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:37)
