Not counting duplicate abilities or re-named ones, the BioShock series features 17 Plasmids (nigh-supernatural abilities). The Bible covers over 10 of them.

“And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus. For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.” (Revelation 16:5-6)
The player actually sheds the blood of saints in-game, as the “Wader” enemy you kill shouts fragments of Bible verses and even sings part of “Jesus Loves Me.” Considering this, it’s interesting that a Plasmid container is blood colored:
“Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.” (Acts 15:19-20)
Aero-Dash:
“And he [God] rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.” (Psalm 18:10)
[Speaking of God] “Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind:” (Psalm 104:3)
Incinerate!:
Quote: “Fire at your Fingertips!“
“Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD.” (Ezekiel 22:31)
“For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.” (Isaiah 66:15)
“And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:” (2 Thessalonians 1:7-8)
Electro Bolt:
“The Lord also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire. Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.” (Psalm 18:13-14)
[Talking to God]“Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them.” (Psalm 144:6)
Cyclone Trap:
The word cyclone does not appear in the Bible. However, a word that means the same thing is used several times-whirlwind:
“The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.” (Nahum 2:3)
“Therefore it is come to pass, that as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the Lord of hosts:
But I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations whom they knew not. Thus the land was desolate after them, that no man passed through nor returned: for they laid the pleasant land desolate.” (Zechariah 7:13-14)
“Behold, the whirlwind of the Lord goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.” (Jeremiah 30:23)
Sonic Boom uses sound to create a damaging blast of wind:
“Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will raise up against Babylon, and against them that dwell in the midst of them that rise up against me, a destroying wind;” (Jeremiah 51:1)
“Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it.” (Ezekiel 13:13)
“For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, is his name.” (Amos 4:13)
Winter Blast:
“He [God] casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?” (Psalm 147:17)
“And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.” (Exodus 9:23)
“I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labours of your hands; yet ye turned not to me, saith the LORD.” (Haggai 2:17)
Hypnotize Big Daddy:
Quote: “Cry out for Big Daddy’s help, make him think you’re a Little Sister. Watch as he fights to protect you.“
Hypnotize is another word not found in the Bible. A word that means the same thing is delusion-and God is the one who sends it.
“I [God] also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.” (Isaiah 66:4)
“And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” (2 Thessalonians 2:10-12)
The Enrage power allows the player to throw a red ball and “enrage” whoever you hit:
[God speaking to Job, mentioning the things he does] “Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath: and behold every one that is proud, and abase him.” (Job 40:11)
Insect Swarm sends a swarm of bees on your enemies:
“And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall hiss for the fly that is in the uttermost part of the rivers of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.
And they shall come, and shall rest all of them in the desolate valleys, and in the holes of the rocks, and upon all thorns, and upon all bushes.” (Isaiah 7:18-19)
“The great temptations which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby the Lord thy God brought thee out: so shall the Lord thy God do unto all the people of whom thou art afraid.
Moreover the Lord thy God will send the hornet among them, until they that are left, and hide themselves from thee, be destroyed.” (Deuteronomy 7:19-20)
Houdini Plasmid (invisibility):
“Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.” (Isaiah 45:15)
“How long, Lord? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire?” (Psalm 89:46)
“Behold, I go forward, but he [God] is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him: On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him:” (Job 23:8-9)
Geyser Trap:
“I [God] will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.” (Isaiah 41:8)
“Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob; Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.” (Psalm 114:7-8)
“Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” (Revelation 14:7)
This is not only a case of “another Jesus.” This is also a case of man trying to live the age-old deception of the Devil in a digital way-“ye shall be as gods.”
